At ALMASBAK, we designed a custom Arabic typeface for Lexus Saudi Arabia to extend the brand’s typographic identity and deliver a refined visual experience aligned with Lexus’s global presence and core values: luxury, precision, and craftsmanship.

The challenge was to develop an Arabic typeface that harmonizes both visually and functionally with the Latin typeface used in Lexus’s identity, without compromising the inherent beauty or authenticity of the Arabic script. Our aim was to craft Arabic letterforms that echo the typographic rhythm, optical weight, and geometric precision of Lexus’s design language.

The Arabic characters were developed using a soft geometric approach, featuring clean strokes and precisely balanced curves. A minimalist aesthetic was maintained, while x-height proportions, baselines, and inter-letter spacing were carefully calibrated to ensure cohesive performance across bilingual layouts.

The Lexus Jameel typeface is available in three weights: Light, Book, and Bold.
